17th November – 19th November 2017
If you have always wondered if you have what it takes to be a film actor, then this course is for you.
Over three intensive days, I will be working with a small group of aspiring actors on how to develop top-notch film acting skills.
The course is designed for those with little or no acting experience but are hungry to learn
Here is a rundown of the course:
From the first session, you will be immersed in the world of film making.
ON DAY 1 we’ll focus on how great film performances are produced, looking at real footage from films and analysing the film acting process. Then we will look at the different technical requirements of film acting such as the various shooting positions and framing that is used and give you, your first chance to work on screen by the end of the day.
ON DAY 2 we’re exploring the techniques of Method Acting for film. You’ll learn how to connect with any character you play, and how to summon up emotion on demand, so you can reach the same heights in every take, every performance. During this day we will rehearse and develop more film scene work that will be filmed and critiqued by me on how to improve your work.
ON DAY 3 we’re getting deep inside the acting process. You’ll continue working on scripts with a scene partner, building characters from scratch, creating complex scenes that wring every last drop of truth from the text…and getting critiqued! Learn what you need to work on, to propel your acting forward.
By the end of the three days, you will know everything you need to know about film acting.
Please, not that the footage we shoot during the weekend is purely for rehearsal playback and critique only.
A Word Of Warning
This is a one-off opportunity to work with me on film acting. I have no plans to repeat this. The only other time I work on this area is on the Ultimate Acting Programme which costs £14,095 for the year. I am only accepting a maximum of eight actors onto the course. There is also an application process in place to ensure that the people accepted are hard working and cool to work with.
I expect this class to sell out very quickly indeed.
