Terms and Conditions
When you book or purchase any course, product or service from Brian Timoney Actors Studio (BTAS), you are indicating your agreement to our Terms and Conditions. These can be found on our website and are available in hard copy on request. It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with them before you book or purchase any course, product or service from us. In the following Terms and Conditions, the words Brian Timoney Actors Studio, BTAS, we, us and our are used to refer to Brian Timoney Actors Studio. We reserve the right to modify, cancel or append to these Terms and Conditions without notice. Price and availability information is subject to change without notice. The current Terms and Conditions always appear on our website.
1. Payments
1.1 BTAS offers our customers e-commerce security powered by Royal Bank of Scotland. All credit card and debit card transactions on our shopping area are protected.
2. Courses
2.1 Introduction to Method Acting Boot Camp
2.1.1 Cancellation by Student
We want you to be completely satisfied with every booking that you make with BTAS.
Once you have paid your assessment fee, you have 7 days from the day after you booked to cancel your booking and receive a full refund. If the course starts within this 7 day period, the cancellation period ends when the course starts. Please contact us in writing if you wish to cancel.
If you cancel your booking after the telephone assessment, we reserve the right to retain your £50 assessment fee. Please contact us in writing if you wish to cancel.
2.1.2 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
If, after the first day, you are not 100% satisfied with the course, we will refund your fee as long as you alert us by 5pm on the first day of the course. Students are expected to cooperate positively with other students and the teacher. If, during the first day (10am-5pm) or thereafter we feel that you are not cooperating positively and/ or detrimental to the group environment, we reserve the right to ask you to leave and refund your fee. Should you be asked to leave, we cannot be held liable for any cancellation costs you have incurred or will incur for travel, accommodation and associated course expenses.
2.2 Ultimate Acting Programme
2.2.1 Audition Fee and Course Fees
There is an audition process for entry onto the course. The audition fee is detailed on the course page. The audition fee is refundable if you are not accepted. If you are successful at audition, the audition fee is offset against the course fees.

Once you have paid your audition fee, you have 7 days from the day after you booked to cancel your booking and receive a full refund. If the audition takes place within this 7 day period, the cancellation period ends when the audition starts. Please contact us in writing if you wish to cancel.
If you cancel your audition before your audition date, we reserve the right to charge 10% of youe audition fee as a cancellation fee. Please contact us in writing if you wish to cancel.
If you are accepted onto the course, an initial course fees payment is required within seven (7) days. The course fees payment is detailed on the course page.
Monthly payments are then required every month, over 12 months, starting on the month the course commences and ending the month the course finishes. The monthly course fee is detailed on the course page. Course fees must be paid on the specified date each month by debit or credit card. You must enter your payment card details into our secure payment system, and by doing so, you agree to us debiting your card on the specified date every month for a period of 12 months. Fees are still payable if you are unable to attend a class.
2.2.2 Course Work
You are expected to perform tasks and carry out exercises (a minimum of seven hours a week), as directed by BTAS, outside of the scheduled classes. It is essential you complete these tasks and exercises to progress your ability in accordance with the Programme.
2.2.3 Trip to Los Angeles, USA
There is an optional trip to Los Angeles for one week where you receive acting training provided by a third party. Flights, transport, insurance, meals and accommodation are not included in the course fees. You are responsible for organising your own passport (with suitable time until expiry to enter the country), visa (if required), transport, insurance, flights, meals and accommodation.
3. VIP Inner Circle Membership
3.1 Free Gift Offer and Two Months Trial Membership of VIP Inner Circle
The free gift offer includes Brian Timoney’s ‘Essential Method Acting Toolkit’ DVD and two months’ free membership of the VIP Inner Circle. Membership of the VIP Inner Circle is normally £49.99 per month. The VIP Inner Circle free trial membership is limited to new members only and is strictly limited to one per customer.
If you decide to stay a member after the two months’ free trial, you will be automatically upgraded to full membership at £49.99 per month.
3.2 Cancellation by Member
We want you to be completely satisfied with every purchase that you make with Brian Timoney Actors Studio.
Once you have paid your postage and packaging fee, you have 7 days from the day after you booked to cancel your booking and receive a full refund. Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us by unless we delivered the item to you in error or if the item is defective or damaged. Please contact us in writing if you wish to cancel.
You can also cancel your membership at any time. There is no obligation and no fixed term contract. If you do not wish your subscription to continue beyond the trial period, simply email us at info@briantimoneyacting.co.uk telling us that you wish to cancel your membership before the date of your next subscription payment. You can keep everything you have already received and you won’t owe us anything.
Where cancellation notifications are received between 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, the account will be cancelled that day. Cancellation notifications received during the weekend will be made the following Monday. If you do not cancel your subscription, it will continue without interruption until you contact us.
3.3 Conditions of Membership
We reserve the right to terminate any membership agreement due to non-payment or if we believe a member is sharing their unique username and password with a third party. We reserve the right to remove postings on the forum that we believe are unsuitable and/ or offensive.
4 . Cancellations by BTAS & Venue Changes
4.1 We reserve the right to cancel any of our courses and membership services (as detailed on our ‘Acting Courses’ page) any time up to and including the date the activity starts. Should this occur we will endeavour to give you at least five days notice but we cannot guarantee this. We will attempt to offer you a viable alternative or a refund of any fees paid. We cannot be held liable for any cancellation costs (hotel, travel, other associated expenses) you may incur or have incurred should a course or membership services be cancelled.
4.2 It may be necessary to change the venue of our courses. Where this occurs we will endeavour to make you aware of the new venue as soon as possible and ensure that the alternative venue is as close as possible to the original location but we cannot guarantee this.
5. Health
5.1 We accept everyone on the assumption that they are in good mental and physical health and it is your responsibility to alert us to any medical complaint or medical history suffered by you – mental or physical – that requires our consideration.
6. Personal Property
6.1 We do not accept responsibility for any loss of, or damage to, personal property belonging to you irrespective of whether such possessions might be used by you for the purposes of any BTAS activity save to the extent that such loss shall be caused by the negligence or default of any member of our staff or any other default on our part.
7. Other Losses
7.1 We do not accept responsibility for any loss or expense due to circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to, delays in public transport, weather, quarantine, sickness,bereavement, strikes or other industrial action, terrorism, fire and riot.
8. Use of Personal Information
8.1 From time to time, photographs, film, video or audio recordings may be made during BTAS activities for publicity, promotional or broadcast purposes. Please inform us before any such event if you do not wish to appear or be identified in any such material.
9. Your Details
9.1 It is your responsibility to ensure that we have current contact details for you. We cannot be held liable if you do not receive information from us due to incorrect contact details provided by you.
10. Site Information
10.1 To the fullest extent permitted at law, Brian Timoney Actors Studio is providing this site and its contents on an “as is” basis and makes no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to this site or its contents. Brian Timoney Actors Studio disclaims all such representations and warranties, including for example warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. In addition, Brian Timoney Actors Studio does not represent or warrant that the information accessible via this site is accurate, complete or current.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 This liability section applies only to the extent permitted by law.
Except as set out below, neither Brian Timoney Actors Studio nor any of their directors, employees or other representatives will be liable for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this site. Brian Timoney Actors Studio does not limit its liability for death or personal injury to the extent only that it arises as a result of negligence of Brian Timoney Actors Studio, its directors, employees or other representatives. Brian Timoney Actors Studio does not accept liability (except as set out below) for any errors or omissions and reserves the right to change information, specifications and descriptions of listed courses, products and services. Brian Timoney Actors Studio does not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss of or damage to property and/or loss from claims of third parties arising out of the use of the Brian Timoney Actors Studio website or for any purchase from Brian Timoney Actors Studio website.
12. Modification of Terms
12.1 Brian Timoney Actors Studio reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Any modification of these terms will be deemed to be effective from the date and time of posting on the website. These terms and conditions will apply to your order once you have received your confirmation email. They will supercede any other terms and conditions in whatever form given.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
13.1 This contract is governed by English Law and both parties shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the English Courts. These Terms and Conditions do not affect your legal or stutory rights.
