A Message From Brian Timoney
Dear Aspiring Actor,
Knowing where to start your acting training can be problematic. You may spend hours on the Internet looking for a decent class, spend your hard-earned money, turn up, and, sadly, it’s disappointing.
I should know. I’ve had this experience many times during my own actor training.
But I don’t want you to.
My Introduction to Method Acting Boot Camp is specifically designed for those with little or no acting experience who have a burning desire to become a professional actor, but don’t know where to start.
My Obsession – Which May By Yours Too
My obsession is acting excellence, and I take great delight in showing aspiring actors like yourself how to take their acting ability from it’s current level to excellent.
The Boot Camp is renowned for allowing you to achieve great results.
The reason I created the Boot Camp is to allow you to immerse yourself for three intensive days in this leading acting approach, Method Acting, with other like-minded, creative individuals.
Starting From Scratch
Everyone on this course is starting from scratch.
The concept is to show you the vital tools and techniques that you will require to create great acting from day 1. You will be shown how to: create characters from scratch, create emotion on demand, analyse a script, overcome nerves and stage fright, develop a scene and ignite your inner talent.
You are unique. We already have Pacino, Streep, De Niro and Jolie but what we don’t have yet is YOU. My ethos is to bring out and harness your inner talent and uniquness. I will take you through, step by step, a process to bring your talent to the fore and realise your full acting potential.

You’re Not Just A Number, We Really Care
I know this may sound a bit corny, but we really do care. The Studio is run by myself and my wife Natalie, and we pride ourselves on excellence. Why? Well, when I am buying a service I don’t like the feeling of dealing with a faceless institution. Often you can get the feeling that no one really cares. We do – and we want to help you achieve your acting goals. We will hold your hand through the sometimes difficult acting process.

What The Oscar Winners Use – Method Acting
When I started out in acting I went to a traditional drama school, and while there was worthwhile information and knowledge that I picked up, I still felt there was something missing in my acting. Then one day I saw Sean Penn acting in a film and was struck by how different his acting was compared to much of what I had experienced at drama school. It was real, in depth, spontaneous, exciting and utterly believable. I decided to research what technique he was using.
It turned out he was using Method Acting. Then I started researching what other top actors use, and guess what, many if not all of Hollywood’s leading actors use Method Acting. The Method is used by Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep, Angelina Jolie, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Edward Norton, Charlize Theron and Forest Whitaker, to name a few. Over 75% of Best Actor Oscars since the year 2000 have been won by Method Actors. A coincidence? I think not. My approach is to model excellence. If you want to achieve great acting you need to look at what great actors are doing and copy their approach. They use The Method. Therefore it makes sense to do the same.
What Is The Method?
Simply put, The Method is about bringing reality into performance. It’s about being REAL – not faking or forcing emotions – but re-experiencing them for real and creating something that will deeply move and touch an audience. It’s about understanding how you tick and being able to push the right buttons in you to allow you to play the role and produce emotion and inspiration on demand. I often talk in class about knowing your ‘instrument’. In acting, all you have to use is your mental and physical being – your instrument.
If you are a violinist you have a violin as your instrument. Could you imagine a violinist going on stage having not mastered his instrument, and deciding to put his finger on a certain string on a particular part of the fret board and hoping it makes the correct sound? I think not. They continually practise and understand how to produce the right notes. You must too as an actor, otherwise your work will be very hit and miss. Part of the art of acting is being able to produce consistent results.
In The Method various tools are used to achieve this, one of which is Sense and Emotional Memory. This is when you re-experience one of your own personal memories to produce the correct emotion for a scene. Why is this necessary? Let me ask you a question. Whose emotional life do you experience on stage or on set? The answer must be your own. It is a physical impossibility to experience emotion any other way other than through you.
So, in order to produce the correct emotional content and internal character experiences, then you must use your own emotional life. But it’s not all just about the emotion in The Method. There are many physical and external considerations. For example, just watch Marlon Brando in ‘The Godfather’ where he uses the animal exercise to create external physicality for the character. This is something we will deal with on the boot camp as well as many other areas.
What You Will Get From The Boot Camp
The course’s theme is BELIEVABILITY. My team and I will show you how not to fake emotions and experiences – but recreate them for real – on demand.
The course will also allow you to:
- Get in touch with your inner emotions to portray highly charged roles.
- Develop in-depth believable characters from scratch.
- Use Method improvisation to bring excitement and unpredictability to your work.
- Anaylse a script to bring out the hidden and unusual elements.
- Develop your cold reading skills to improve your audition approach.
- Create unique physicality for your characters.
- Physically and mentally relax to overcome nerves.
- Create emotion on-demand.
- Stimulate your belief in where the action takes place.
- Create the illusion of a close relationship with an actor you’ve just met.
- Use the given circumstances as a force within the scene.
- How to release and use your voice
- Understand your physical habits and how to transform your physicality
A Hand Picked Exceptional Acting Team
When I chose the team I wanted to work with at The Studio, I went to great lengths. First we had a telephone interview to assess the person’s knowledge and then they were invited to a trial session with our students so that we could see them work. Out of the many teachers we assessed, we were left with an elite team. I can guarantee you (you can see my full personal guarantee further down the page) that you will experience revealing, impactful and vital sessions with them during the boot camp. They are, quite frankly, the best of the best.

A Day By Day Breakdown of the Boot Camp
The object of the Boot Camp is to provide you with essential acting tools used by the world’s acting elite on your journey to acting excellence. You will be immersed for three days in this proven approach with other like-minded, creative individuals who we hand pick. But let me be honest with you, in three days it’s impossible for you to learn The Method in full, or become a professional actor in that time. The Method is a challenging approach that takes time to master. Many people who attend the boot camp go on to audition for my one year programme The Ultimate Acting Programme which is designed to give you a full training package in order to become a professional actor and launch your career. The boot camp will provide you with the first crucial steps towards that, and provide you with tools and techniques you will use for the rest of your acting life.
Day 1
The first morning you will spend with me. We will get started by looking at the technical areas of The Method. I will show you how to relax fully using a unique method relaxation process for mind and body. Relaxation is crucial in creating great acting. Tension has the ability to destroy your acting, as it stops you from thinking and feeling properly. Great actors understand this and have a defined process to overcome nerves and stage fright, which I will impart to you.
Then we will look at Sense and Emotional Memory. Being able to tap into your emotions to produce strong and reliable emotional experiences is vital for the working actor. When you get to the point of working on set with a director, a crew, lights, cameras and so on, and the director asks you to produce a certain emotional experience, then you want to be able to do it on demand. The Method is one of the only acting approaches that uses this tool – and it is used by the acting elite. This is a tool you need in your acting arsenal.
In the afternoon you will work with two of my specialist Method coaches on two different areas. With Tanya Munday you will explore character creation. Tanya has a fantastic ability for enabling you to create characters quickly and easily. Not only that, but it’s lots of fun too. You will work as a team in understanding how to communicate non-verbally. Did you know 95% of communication is non-verbal? Tanya will show you how to tap into this ability to communicate without saying a word.
You will also work with Joe Ferriera, who is, quite simply, a force of nature. You will work with him in uncovering the single most important element in making scenes work – understanding and pursing the NEEDS of the characters. It may sound simple, but this is often the area that is underplayed by new actors. What we need as individuals drives our behaviour and the same is true of characters. Joe will show you how to take the needs to the limit and beyond, and create exciting and spontaneous work.

Day 2
On day two you will start off with voice and movement work. Being able to use your physical being and knowing how to release your true voice to fully express yourself is key. You will work with Gordon Faith who I call ‘The Godfather of Voice’. Gordon has been in the industry for over 40 years and was chosen by Susan Strasberg, daughter of the late Lee Strasberg (inventor of The Method), to teach voice. He has an organic and enjoyable approach in showing you how to fully release your true inner voice in order to express yourself in your work.
You will work with Keiran Sheehan on movement. Keiran is an expert at opening up your physical being. It’s important to understand that you don’t just act from the neck up. Great acting involves the whole body. Keiran will look at your movement habits and show you how to open up your full physical being to allow you to transform physically when creating characters.
In the afternoon you will start to work on scripts. You have to be able to understand and analyse a script to create scenes. So, you will be paired up with another actor in the class to start to work on a short scene so that you can incorporate the techniques you have learnt in the earlier sessions. Joe and Tanya will show you how to investigate your scenes and prepare them for performance. You will be shown how to analyse the script and what tools and techniques to use in developing your scene with your fellow actor.

|
Day 3
You will spend the entire day with me. We will start with the Animal Exercise. This is an exercise used by the acting elite to create unique and distinctive physicality for characters. A common mistake in characterisation is keeping your physicality too close to your own. Did you know that for every human being there is an animal equivalent? We will use animals to create something very special and separate from your own physicality. We will then work more on your characters within your scripted scenes. I will show you how to walk in your character’s shoes and immerse yourself in their world.
In the afternoon you will perform your scene for the group with guidance and critiquing from myself. This gives you the chance to practise the techniques you have learned over the weekend and perform your scene in the main house theatre. I will give you personal feeback on your ability, and identify areas that you should focus on to move your ability to the next level.

Working In A Real Theatre
The Boot Camp is held in a fully functioning theatre which is a grade II listed building in London’s thriving Hoxton. If you are new to acting, you may not know that many acting classes and courses are held in drafty old rooms or soulless rehearsal spaces. This isn’t excellent to me. I want you to have the experience of working in a real acting environment, and it doesn’t come any better than working in a real theatre. This is not one, but two theatres you will work in during the Boot Camp. The Courtyard Theatre has two theatres. A studio space that seats 100 and a large main house theatre that seats around 170. They are excellent spaces for you to work in.

Will You Be Glad You Never Followed Your Dreams?
The number one thing I hear from my students before starting is “I don’t want to get to the age 65 and wish I had done it”. I can assure you that your parting words from this planet will not be ‘”I’m glad I didn’t follow my dreams”. Many of my students have been in other jobs before starting their professional acting training. In fact, I have designed all my courses so that you can work and study until you get your acting career going.
The Course Fee
The Boot Camp really is an investment in your acting career. If you value your ability, then you should nurture it with care and consideration. The development of your inner talent should only be put in the hands of those who know what they are doing and care about your development. I will be honest with you. We are not the cheapest class in town but I truly believe that we are the best. I don’t say that to be arrogant, but from the knowledge that my team and I are obsessed with acting excellence and deliver something exceptional AND the excellent feedback we receive from our students – which you can read for yourself further down the page.
The fee for the boot camp is £495 which covers all your acting tuition, voice tuition, movement tuition and the use of the two theatres you will work in.
We Guarantee Our Course
I passionately believe the boot camp will be a turning point for you and your acting, so much so that I am willing to put my neck on the line to show you that you have nothing to lose and a huge amount to gain by attending.
If, after the first day, you are not 100% delighted with the course, we will refund your course fee in full. No quibbles.

Working with Brian was one of the best decisions I have made in my acting career. The Bootcamp was intense but really rewarding, and got a lot out of it. I have such a better understanding of who I am as a person and explored areas within my acting ability that I never thought were there. Also, working with Brian builds your confidence as a performer and a person and really lets you be the person you wanna be in life. Also, the people Brian picks for the Bootcamp are very reassuring and focused Actors, and felt like we were a big family for the duration of the Bootcamp. An a personal note to you Brian, Thank you for helping me along my journey and giving me the ability and strength to reach my dreams. I hope we will work with each other in the future, I will fly you over to LA. My treat.
Andrew Porter, Crowborough
I am writing this with profound gratitude to say thank you for the help I received during your 3-day boot camp. It has opened my eyes to my potential in the acting world and firmly placed my feet on the path to a career I have always wanted yet always doubted I would have the ability to achieve to any degree of success. You teach confidence, purely and simply, and I would heartily recommend it to anyone wishing to pursue a career in acting. I look forward to working with you in the future.
Andreea Thomson, St Albans, Herts
After several conversations I had with friends (Actors) in the past I’ve heard very good things about Brian Timoney and I thought I would give the classes a try. The whole three days of the course I had with Brian was very professional and the method acting classes have giving me so much within the three days time. I learnt so many techniques and methods regarding the characters, audition techniques and lots more. I am very pleased that I had the classes with Brian and I am willing to attend even more advanced classes in near future.
Shezai Fejzo, Harrow
Not only does Brian take your acting to the next level during the Boot Camp, he also gives you the tools you’ll need to push yourself further and further after it’s finished. I attended the Boot Camp so that I could decide, once and for all, if acting was something I was merely going to dabble in or truly go after, 100%. I am happy to say that the latter has become true. I am a better actor for having worked with Brian and it is my sincere hope that the Boot Camp is merely the beginning of a long working relationship. The work is hard and the concentration required is intense, but the results are invaluable. I came away from the experience exhilarated, exhausted and inspired.
Nicholas Cameron, London
I just wanted to show my complete appreciation for working with you over the weekend. The boot camp course really does give a great introduction to Method acting and I believe I have learnt an awful lot of the 3 days and will continue to practice & develop the techniques that you have taught.
It was great to have so much input not just from yourself but I felt everyone got involved in the thought process to each character and technique.
I very much doubt that you need recognition for what is a fantastic course but I am truly grateful for the time and effort you give to promote the techniques of method acting.
Once again, many thanks.
Gareth Evans, Manchester
I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for an absolutely fabulous 3 days. I feel I’ve learnt so much in such a short time. I’m in a one off play in a few months; what I’ve learnt is going to help me so much. My whole view and take on acting has been turned around. I can already feel that I’m going to be turning in a much more professional performance. Thank you once again.
Mark Cainen, Swansea, Wales
I would like to take this opportunity to again thank Brian for such an amazing and liberating weekend. Before I did the bootcamp I was seriously considering giving up acting, which I now believe is due to my lack of passion with the techniques I was using. They were beneficial body and voice techniques but deep down I know and definitely agree with Brian that they are just not enough to create great acting. I want people to believe what I am doing/ feeling/ who I am playing and I know if I train with The Method I will get to that place! I feel as if I have found my path again, one that I was steered off years ago by well meaning tutors. I have heard many a tutor banging on about training and I never felt much enthusiasm for it, but now I most certainly do! I actually believe that I can get somewhere with this training.
Please tell Brian thank you – thank you for re-igniting my passion for acting with his Method training. I am at last on the right path and know deep in my soul that this is what I NEED to do with my life!
I would happily recommend anybody to join Brian’s course as he is an excellent teacher and such an inspiration. I hope to work again with him in the future.
Louise Turton, London SW20
I was preparing myself to write you an e-mail with all of the best words that truly come from my heart about the course and the great experience you gave me and to the whole group. I must emphasise that it was my best course I have ever been to and the most challenging as well in my entire life. I learnt a lot and I see life different now.
This is for those who would like to do the course:
If you would like to be an actor and you are looking for the right training course….and you come across Mr. Brian Timoney’s courses, my advice is!!! Stop there… you are lucky, in fact very lucky! Start your course! I believe I achieved more than I expected and I saw everything happening…..in fact few times I even cried, couldn’t help it!
It was brilliant and I am proud to have decided to do it. I would like to continue with it as it is for my best and you only get one chance.
If any of your future students would like to call me in order to speak about the course please give them my number or my e-mail.
I can’t wait to see you and hopefully to take part in your next course.
Thank you so much.
Olsi Meneri, Watford, Herts
Thanks for a brilliant 3 days at your Method Acting boot camp which has had a clear positive effect on me. I know now that this is the direction I want to go in and I will play, replay and rehearse the wonderful techniques we covered in class in my living room! The main thing is that I feel less afraid to be private in public now and it will help me stop trying to act. Today I am feeling rather down, but for the right reason, that I didn’t want it to end! I am totally committed to becoming the best actress I can be because I am in love with every detail of acting for itself and not for what it may bring. Your course has given me a lot of self belief now, and I hope I can attend a future longer course with you sometime to make you proud of me as a student. I am never giving up on this but will fight for my needs now, just as you showed me how to fight for my character’s on stage, emotionally and physically. This is just the beginning of a new journey for me, so thank you
Emma Kelly, Solihull, West Midlands
I wanted to say a big thank you for the last three days. I’ve taken so much from the three day course alone. I now have a much greater understanding of how to approach a script, the importance of concentration and relaxation along with how to utilise techniques such as sense memory and animal exercises to help reveal the life of a character. Truly insightful and you’ve certainly given me a thirst for more! Thanks again for a great few days.
Claire Buckingham, High Wycombe
Thank you for an amazing weekend. The course was such an eye-opener and gave me a better insight into the method ‘acting’ and myself. I hope that I will get to work with Brian again. Thanks.
Hannah Brooks, Exeter
I attended the 3 day course for a basic understanding of method acting. The course was very enjoyable, met some nice people & learnt more than first expected. I would recommend the course to anyone serious about pursuing an acting career.
Ryan Bell, Essex
I am glad I have the chance to thank you for the course. I knew when I signed up for the course that I wanted to further my acting skills but I never thought I would learn so much about acting or about myself! I came onto the course with an open mind and keen to learn more and I feel that I have done this in spades. I have always held something back from a performance, not wanting to give too much of myself but I have never felt more comfortable acting before as I did on the course. The whole experience has been invaluable to me and I “would” advise and “will” advise anyone who is serious about acting to attend this course. Thanks again.
John Solomonides
” I have just completed the three day introduction to method acting and the course has increased my confidence and the new approaches I learnt have definitely improved my ability.”
Best wishes

Michael Archer, London
“When I left Ireland over a year ago and before doing Brian`s Induction to Method Acting Course I had very little experience of Acting whatsoever and if you said to me a year ago that I would be taking a Method Acting Course with Brian Timoney I would have said that you were mad in the head!!! But I would have been mad in the head if I didn’t do this course!!! Even before I booked the course I was for weeks thinking would I, or wouldn`t I!!! Trust Me JUST DO IT!!! I can honestly say that it was the best experience of my life and I feel for the first time in my life that I have found someone who understands me and what road to take in my life! Brian is not just ateacher, he is much, much more that that! He understands people, honest, listens and knows what is best for you and an inspiration to all! If you want to be the best in acting then Brian Timoney Method Acting courses are the way forward and to achieving the highest standards and reaching your dreams! I have only happy memories of Brian’s course and a lot of laughter with everyone I got to meet on the course and I look forward to taking more courses with Brian Timoney in the future”
John O’Neill, Ireland
“I have just completed Brian Timoney’s introduction to method acting course. Brian has a gift of making you feel at ease and able to experiment in a safe, non-intimidating environment. Each week I learnt something new which has equipped me with tools to use as an actor – be it a sensory or personal memory, studying an animal and then humanising its traits for a character, or a personalisation. I have always found monologues hard as I worry about forgetting lines but with his teaching, I have gained in confidence and the fear has greatly reduced as the techniques taught take the focus away from the lines so the words just come naturally. I have the deepest respect for Brian – he really knows his stuff and cares about each of his students. The main thing is to trust him completely and results definitely come. I learnt more techniques in 6 evening classes than I did in a year at drama school.
Thanks Brian- you’re the best!!”
Carolyn Goodyear, Hammersmith
“I found the Advanced Method classes to be especially challenging, insightful and rewarding. With in-depth focus on the different aspects of the technique and how to apply them to your work, Brian’s main priority is to get you producing a high standard of acting. I also really appreciated learning about the business, and now feel much less daunted about making a start in it. My own confidence, ability and understanding has broadened, and I watched the same happen with my classmates. Thanks for helping me relax! A really helpful 6 weeks. Highly recommended.
Lorraine Barr, Finchley
“I approached Brian about a year after completing a course in acting at theatre school – although it was a great experience and I did enjoy it I wasn’t getting any work, and I still felt like I was no closer to being able to create a believable, honest character. Acting would feel uncomfortable and sometimes incredibly forced and false – something I had to address as my confidence was plummeting. I came across Brian’s classes online and enrolled. Right from the briefing at the beginning of the class, I identified with what Brian was saying and knew this was the place that was going to help me. From relaxation techniques to sense memory exercises, as well as working on scene work and monologues – I learnt so so much and slowly I am beginning to be able to relax and to tap into emotions (without forcing them!!) and bring them into my work. I have since completed a second course with Brian that helped me to create strong monologues ready for auditions – I am feeling so much more confident and I’m enjoying acting again – the techniques he teaches as well as the advice he gives each student will help actors at any stage in their career. I will continue to use the relaxation and sense memory techniques and I am looking forward to working with Brian again. I highly recommend his classes to anyone who is serious about acting – for me and I know so many others, it is the best investment for your career.”
Alex Dimmer, Camden, London
“The Advanced Classes gave me back my faith in my work and gave me a new set of ideas to work with that have helped me improve the way that I approach the text. Brian is a fair and honest teacher who was extremely helpful and supportive in the lessons. He taught us all to not be afraid anymore, which is one of the biggest problems with all actors. You’re an amazing teacher and I was really lucky to work with you.
Thank you.”
Rita Walters, Middlesex
‘I learned more in this week than the years I spent at Drama School.’
Carolyn Goodyear, Hammersmith, London
‘What did I like about the course? What didn’t I like about the course? It was fantastic!’
Hugh McLaughlin, Northern Ireland
‘This was the best week of my life’
Anne Stafford, Elephant and Castle, London
“The class that Brian teaches has opened my eyes to a whole new world of acting. One that I will keep for the rest of my career. It has inspired me in more ways than I realised. The fella knows his stuff! A+!!”
JC. Ortanna, West Sussex
“This teacher is brilliant. He offers a practical approach to acting using Method exercises as well as great advice on the industry and useful feedback on your work. It’s so refreshing to work with a teacher who is as good as he is. I found the class environment especially good; it’s supportive so you feel you can take risks in your work. What’s great about this course is that it really is suitable for any actor whether they’re a beginner or have been acting professionally for years. I recommend it!”

“The training provided at Brian’s Studio is an excellent tool no serious industry professional should let pass by. Not only does the course open your eyes to perhaps fresher ways to bring your talents alive, it also provides the basis for you to continually improve your skills with a series of exercises that can be performed at home, prior to an audition or wherever you fancy. If you’re willing to commit to the course and not hold back, the end rewards can only improve your acting skills.”
Mike Bates, Billericay, Essex
This class was truly perfect for a first acting experience. Brian creates a safe environment where beginners and professional actors alike attempt new approaches using the tools of the method. I was surprised to see how quickly what you learn in class is applicable and gives results that are beyond expectations. Brian also has the ability to pinpoint exactly where an actor may not be correctly focused and give him/her the tool necessary for an immediate result. I highly recommend this course, so much so that I have already signed up to the next workshop!’”
Mathilde Merlot, Paris
”I have worked as a professional actor now for a number of years and have been around the block a few times. I approached Brian Timoney for help. I felt that my zest for acting had started to diminish, and that frankly I had become ‘rusty’. Under Brian’s direction not only have I fallen head over heels in love with acting again, but I have been given a much needed ‘Booster injection’ in terms of my understanding, and approach to my work. The Method is now a practice that I intend to continue with, and with Brian’s help, pay closer attention to. I would recommend Brian’s classes to anyone wanting to understand what makes acting real, believable, and worthwhile.”
Robert Goodman, Maida Vale, London

‘’You are pretty damn good atwhat you teach, and that is one thing that I think is quite rare today. In all honesty an excellent class, with a sound set of people and a great teacher.’’
Jamie Livingstone, Newcastle
‘’I would just like to thank you for your time, commitment and professionalism throughout the course. It was tough for me at times, but I got a tremendous amount from it, and enjoyed it. So, this is just a short email to express my appreciation for your dedication to the art, it certainly comes across in your teaching.’’
Andrew Hutton, Old Street, London
“Having never acted before, Brian’s course could not have been better. He knows the techniques inside out, he knows the industry back to front, he knows the work top to bottom. Also, he knows inspirational acting has the power to change people and most importantly, his motivation is to teach you all about it. Epic course, serve me up another portion.”
Robert Emmanuel, Whitechapel, London
”This course really allowed me to open up. I completely enjoyed all the lessons. I felt really free on stage and totally lost any self-consciousness I had. So, if you want to join this course, don’t think about it… it’s fantastic!”
Sandra Delgado, Barcelona
“Initially, I was unsure of what the ‘Method’ entailed. The processes involved caused my awareness of myself to gradually open like a flower responding to sunlight. The Method allows you to acknowledge your own truth and when the alchemy of truth and creativity merge something magical is created inside the actor and for those watching. The experience of acting using Method tools has left me wanting to learn and experience more of the same.”
Emma Collins, Enfield, Middlesex
Hi Brian, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for a great month. I really enjoyed it and felt that I have progressed since my first month with you in May. Thanks for creating a safe environment for me to develop as an actor. Thanks again for your time, observation, knowledge, skill, and encouragement.
Kathryn O’Neil, West Hampstead, London
“The one month Intensive is an amazing experience that really gets you in tune with yourself as an actor, by presenting it as the art form that it is. It taught me about the raw honest truth of performance and the discipline and will needed to convey it.”
Rafiq Richards, Forest Hill, London
”I have found the intensive course an excellent opportunity to develop my depth as an actor. It has helped identify some of my weaknesses and provided valuable tools to overcome them or in some cases turn them into strengths. I have also found it a safe and encouraging environment to express myself in, and hence progress in. On top of this, I have had the privilege of working with an honest teacher in Brian Timoney, who has nurtured and taught me many tools that work for me.”
Raphael Sowole, Deptford, London
”A very interesting class structure that gives you the opportunity to work as hard as you want. It has opened up the proverbial window of fresh air for me, and with every breath, I can feel that there’s more and more to be explored and developed within me, thanks to this class.”
Nuria Jana, Spain
“I have been a member for approximately six months. Throughout the six months, Brian Timoney’s classes challenged everything that I previously understood about acting and it has taken my acting to a whole new level. Brian is committed to the work of his students and offers constructive criticism, so that the work of his students is more honest and grounded. We are taught various exercises that allow us to tap into a deeper truth within ourselves and breathe life into the characters we play. I cannot imagine any other way for a gradual but effective way to get a beginner started on a road to success. I highly recommend Brian’s classes to those who are looking for skills that will set them apart from all other actors and are serious about acting as a career.”
Katrina Kang, Marylebone, London
“With any good drama class you need a teacher that is honest and focused to get the best acting out of you. This is the first time in a long time I have really acted in this sort of environment. The classes are small so you get a lot of individual attention as well as valuable group work. I would recommend this to anyone with a passion for acting and wanting to find a little bit more about themselves, but be prepared to step over some boundaries!”
Mateusz Lilpop, Hoxton, London
“The studio has given me exactly what I need in an acting course. There is a great atmosphere in the classes and more importantly I feel safe to experiment and in turn this allows me to be more creative and imaginative in my acting. I feel that because Brian is a working actor himself, he is sensitive and up to date to the students needs. Brian is helping me to overcome my personal obstacles as an actor and I am enjoying my continued progression within the class.”
Elke Ryan, Sydney, Australia
“I find this class essential for a clear understanding of how to access this technique called “Method acting”. It has also allowed me toinitiate a much deeper connection with myself as well as with the characters I play.”
Luca Zizzari, Italy
“Brian’s teaching of ‘the Method’ has made me realise that my acting needs to be 100% believable and I’ve benefited from his coaching and honest feedback to my work. He has created a professional learning environment and with a limited number of students to each class we all get our own time and space to perform.
Leon Coleman, Herfordshire
Using ‘the method’ has transformed my approach to acting and the standard of my work. I feel free in myself, and really alive when working. The Method has also shown me how to stimulate a high level of belief in what I am doing on stage.”
